Nuclearity-related Properties for Nonselfadjoint Algebras
In analogy with the C-algebra theory, we study variants appropriate to nonselfadjoint algebras of nuclearity, the local lifting property, exactness, and the weak expectation property. In addition, we study the relationships between these notions, and how they are connected with the classical C-algebra theory through the use of C-algebras generated by the algebra.
متن کاملNuclearity and Exactness for Groupoid Crossed Product C∗-algebras
The focus of this thesis is the study of nuclearity and exactness for groupoid crossed product C∗-algebras. In particular, we present generalizations of two well-known facts from group dynamical systems and crossed products to the groupoid setting. First, we show that if G is an amenable groupoid acting on an upper-semicontinuous C∗-bundle A with nuclear section algebra A, then the associated g...
متن کاملNuclearity of Semigroup C*-algebras and the Connection to Amenability
We study C*-algebras associated with subsemigroups of groups. For a large class of such semigroups including positive cones in quasi-lattice ordered groups and left Ore semigroups, we describe the corresponding semigroup C*algebras as C*-algebras of inverse semigroups, groupoid C*-algebras and full corners in associated group crossed products. These descriptions allow us to characterize nuclear...
متن کاملOn the nuclearity of certain Cuntz-Pimsner algebras
In the present paper, we give a short proof of the nuclearity property of a class of CuntzPimsner algebras associated with a HilbertA-bimodule M, whereA is a separable and nuclear C*-algebra. We assume that the left A-action on the bimodule M is given in terms of compact module operators and that M is direct summand of the standard Hilbert module over A.
متن کاملModular Nuclearity and Localization
Within the algebraic setting of quantum field theory, a condition is given which implies that the intersection of algebras generated by field operators localized in wedge–shaped regions of two–dimensional Minkowski space is non–trivial; in particular, there exist compactly localized operators in such theories which can be interpreted as local observables. The condition is based on spectral (nuc...
